KJCY, 95.5 FM, part of Kinship Christian Radio, is holding its eighth annual Share-A-Thon on Nov. 13 and 14. KJCY is a non-commercial, listener supported radio ministry with license and tower in St. Ansgar, Iowa, and studios and translator (92.5 FM) in Mason City, Iowa. KJCY relies on the tax-deductible donations of listener, friends, business supporters and churches to provide the financial resources for the daily operation of the 24 hour-a-day, 7 day-a-week broadcast ministry.

KJCY, which stands for Know Jesus Cares for You, along with four other stations in Northern Iowa and Southern Minnesota, make up Kinship Christian Radio. All five stations present the Gospel through news, sports, markets, weather, music and teaching/preaching programs. KJCY features nationally know teaching and family programs such as “Focus on the Family,” James MacDonald’s “Walk in the Word,” “Turning Point,” “Prime Time America,” “Family Life Today” and “Adventures in Odyssey.”

This year’s theme for Share-A-Thon is “Sharing the Voice of the Savior”, taken from 1 Thessalonians 1:8. Share-A-Thon is a special time of testimony and celebration where listeners from the area are invited to come and share what the Lord is doing in their lives through KJCY. Regular programming is suspended on Thursday and Friday (Nov. 13 and 14) to allow for those listening to call in and give a “faith promise” for the coming year in support of the ministry. The financial goal for the two day event is $223,000.
