The recipients of the 2008 Albert Lea Education Association Scholarships are Jessica Sosebee and Elizabeth Niebuhr.

Sosebee is a freshman at Minnesota State University, Mankato, beginning her education studies in special education. She is the daughter of Sherrie Sosebee and the late Tim Sosebee.

Niebuhr is also a freshman at Minnesota State University, Mankato, beginning her education studies in elementary and middle school education. She is the daughter of Kathy and Brad Niebuhr.

Both students are 2008 graduates of Albert Lea High School.

The $750 scholarships are awarded to two graduating seniors who are interested in pursuing a career in teaching and education and have completed a successful first semester at the college of their choice.

The scholarships are presented on behalf of the Albert Lea Education Association, which is comprised of the licensed educators and teachers of District 241.
