It’s almost holiday time again! First Lutheran Church of Albert Lea will be sponsoring the Holidays Ahead on Saturday in Bethany Hall at First Lutheran Church. It begins at 8 a.m. and will continue until 1 p.m.

Lefse will be available for purchase beginning at 8 a.m. Supplies are limited and it goes fast. Crafters have been busy for months making Christmas decorations and crafts to sell. Likewise, the circles will have tables set up with items for sale. There will also be a “used a bit” shop.

For a break, there will be coffee available at the special Scandinavian food table until 10 a.m. There will be special holiday music while people browse. In addition, there will be a bake shop so people can bring goodies home for themselves and their families.

A luncheon will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. by the First Lutheran Church Women. It will feature a chicken hot dish, cranberry salad and pie. Tickets are $6 and are available at Holidays Ahead.

Marlene Behle and Diane Damerow are co-chairwomen of the event. All proceeds from Holidays Ahead will go to missions.
