Thank you for your vote of confidence in my re-election to serve as your state representative for District 27A.

I want to thank my family for their support and encouragement to serve in government. I especially want to thank my mother and father for their early encouragement and support in promoting each of their eight children to be good citizens.

I want to thank my husband for his support during the last two campaigns and for his support while I am serving as your state representative.

I want to thank each of the individuals that supported my re-election through their volunteer efforts and their financial contributions. I could not have done this without each of you.

Six months ago, when I began my campaign for re-election to the Minnesota House of Representatives, I promised that I would run a 100 percent positive campaign.

I am pleased to report that every piece of campaign literature and every letter to the editor written on my behalf focused on the positive. We never mentioned my opponent, and we never used any negative ads.

My hope is that we set a new standard in Minnesota for future elections. I genuinely believe that if we are going to be successful in improving our quality of life, we must work together.

We must work together across party lines for the common good of Minnesota.

We must work together across regions of the state to improve our high quality of life.

We must work together with business and organized labor to create and retain good paying jobs.

We must work together with teachers, administrators, students, parents, school board members and tax payers to create the best public school system in the nation.

We must work together with doctors, nurses, hospitals, care facilities and nursing homes to provide the best affordable and accessible health care in the nation.

We must work together with the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce and organized labor to provide safe roads and bridges and to maintain our transportation infrastructure.

We must join hands together to help relieve the economic stress of our middle class.

Together, I am convinced; we can do this with a positive attitude.

Let us pledge to make our campaign a model for all future political campaigns in Minnesota. Together we can make a great state even better.

Thank you once again for your vote of confidence.
