Weekend Planner: Zoomobile, benefit or breakfasts this weekend

A medical benefit for Larry Carlson will be held from 11 am. to 3 p.m. Sunday in the Fairlane Community Building on the Freeborn County Fairgrounds. There will be a silent auction and pulled pork sandwiches and desserts will be served for a donation.

Carlson had a massive heart attack on July 15. He was airlifted to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, where he remained until Oct. 15. He was in the intensive care unit for more than six weeks and in the critical care unit for another six weeks. He had several surgeries during that time. He is now at St. John’s Lutheran Home recovering.

Friday, Nov. 14

Northbridge Mall will host a holiday craft show from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

United South Central High School will present “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium in Wells. Tickets are available in advance at the high school office for $6 for adults, $5.50 for seniors and $5 for students.

Youth for Christ Mini Golf will be open at Northbridge Mall from 7 to 9 p.m. Cost is $5 per person.

Saturday, Nov. 15

Northbridge Mall will host a holiday craft show from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Minnesota Zoomobile will present “Cool Animals of the North” at 1 and 2 p.m. in the children’s room of the Albert Lea Public Library. Admission is free.

Sunday, Nov. 16

The Alden-Conger Supermileage Team will hold a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Alden-Conger School. Pancakes, eggs, sausage, milk, juice and coffee will be served for a donation.

The Albert Lea Alano Society will hold a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon at its building at 1005 N. Ulstad Ave. Pancakes, french toast, hashbrowns, eggs, sausage, coffee and juice will be served. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children 10 and younger.

T.T.T. Chapter W will host a Dad’s Belgian Waffles breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Albert Lea American Legion Club, 142 N. Broadway Ave. Cost is $6 per person. Children ages 5 and younger eat free.
