First Baptist ABW

President Bonita Moeller opened the First Baptist American Baptist Women’s meeting.

Old business included:

The group voted to meet the White Cross pledge for India at the full $200.

The group voted to disband the ABW for lack of members and funds.

The group will suggest that the church keep the L&G Dollar Project. It was suggested that it be split equally between three missions dear to ABW’s Hearts:

1. Youth For Christ

2. Missionary, the Rev, Glen Chapman and family

3. The Honduras Children’s Home

A report will be given to the Deacon Board with the suggestion. The group will pay all December disbursements and the remainder will be sent to the Honduras Children’s Home.

New business included:

Salvation Army bell ringing at Hy-Vee Dec. 15 and 16

Salvation Army Angel Tree Dec. 17 from noon to 6 p.m.

The fourth annual women’s conference will be held at Albert Lea Vineyard Church, Jan. 10 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Sue Woodard closed the meeting with prayer. The members brought Christmas treats to share for lunch.
