Humane Society grateful for help with dogs

I wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who was concerned and gave us help with the two dogs in the Emmons area near Gateway Park. Thank you also to those who stopped and gave them food and water. There were some kind people in Emmons who had also built them a doghouse and fed and watered them daily. I know that a lot of people were concerned for their welfare and took time to do what they could for them. We were able to catch both of the dogs, one is a Lhasa mix we have named Jack; the black shepherd is named Gypsy. They are both very nice dogs and right now they are in a foster home to get used to being around people again. They are both making very nice progress. They have been vet checked and are in good health. Thanks again to everyone for their help and for being so concerned about these guys.
I also wanted to ask the community for some more help. There are many cats down at the Albert Lea Animal Shelter. They are at full cat capacity. Unfortunately choices sometimes need to be made it that situation. I’m asking if people would be willing to be a sponsor for a cat. This means you would contribute toward getting them spayed or neutered and vaccinated. They are a great bunch of cats with such wonderful personalities and would make great pets. They just need a chance. So if you’re interested in sponsoring a kitty or if you would like to have a nice addition to your home please call or stop by the shelter and come and meet the group. They have a super nice tabby and white boy with a crinkle ear; he’s actually helping me type this at the moment. I can’t say that his spelling is very good though but he sure is a love. There’s a tortie cat that has been here since September and she would sure love to be in her own home, she’s not very fond of other cats so she would have to be an only cat child. One of my very favorites is a young cat who came in without her tail. Unfortunately, she also may have had some burn marks on her back and her whiskers were burnt. I like her to pieces and even after what she may have went through she still likes us.
I could go on because frankly, I have a lot of favorites down at the shelter. It’s really hard not to after you spend some time with them. So please let us know if you would be interested in helping out.
