LakeView Lions Marathon Bridge has completed its first year of play. Six couples participated in play with first place (36,890 points) going to John Light and Dick Waite and second place (28,990 points) to Bob and Helen Sturtz.

Women’s teams completed play in November with 14 teams participating. First place was taken by Marilyn Blong and Lorraine Branstad (43,890 points); second place went to Jan Drews and Cheryll Intihar (37,190 points); and third place was won by Sheila Hanson and Mary Jemming

(34,290 points).

2009 play for both sets of teams will resume in January. Interested individuals wanting to play with either group should contact Karen Conn (373-0899 after 6 p.m.) or at conn.karen@charter.net. Cost of play is $20 for the year and funds raised are donated to Camp Needlepoint, a summer camp for diabetic children.
