Panthers finish 2-1 at Bethany Tournament

The New-Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva boys’ basketball team picked up its second consecutive victory at the Pepsi Boys’ Basketball Tournament at Bethany Lutheran College Tuesday with a 47-44 win over Lake Crystal-Wellcome-Memorial.
Brett Hagen had a season-high 22 points and Payden Peterson added 10 points in a tight game.
The Panthers (3-4) led by as much as seven points during the game and were able to hold of LCWM late.
NRHEG outrebounded LCWM 42-23 and shot 15-for-35 from the field.
The Panthers finished the tournament 2-1, but lost Cory Camerer for possibly a week with a sprained knee.
NRHEG plays Blooming Prairie Tuesday in Blooming Prairie.
