Seven search warrants were executed Thursday afternoon based on what a report from the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office said were based on “possible fraudulent prescriptions.” All the addresses listed where the search warrants were executed were within the city of Albert Lea. No further information was available at press time.

Two deer hit

The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office lists two incidents of deer being hit by vehicles. The first took place at 6:40 a.m. Thursday east of the truck stops on County Road 46 and near 785th Avenue. The second took place Thursday at 8:17 p.m.. and occurred in Mansfield Township near the intersection of 670th Avenue and 140th Street.
