Woodside sets school record for career points

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Ben Woodside became North Dakota State’s career scoring leader and the Bison pulled away in the second half to beat Northern Arizona 90-68 on Monday.

Woodside scored 24 points and had 10 assists for the Bison (7-4), who led 43-42 at halftime but outscored NAU 47-26 in the second half to pull away. He was 10-for-12 from the free throw line.

Woodside has 1,820 points, breaking Denver TenBroek’s old record of 1,813.

NDSU shot 69 percent in the second half and 66 percent overall.

Michael Tveidt had 23 points and Brett Winkleman 19 for the Bison.

Josh Lepley led NAU (3-8) in scoring with 12 points. Matt Johnson had 11 and Zarko Comagic and Cameron Jones 10 each.
