Audubon Society still is viable group

The Albert Lea Audubon Society would like to thank everyone who has given support to the Audubon Science Center in the Skyline Plaza. This was a wonderful outreach program for the children of our community and served to interest children in science, animals and environmental issues facing them. We were hopeful that we would be able to continue the Center, but the finances to keep it running just were not there.
However, the Albert Lea Audubon Society is still viable as an organization. We will be meeting at the Albert Lea Art Center in the newly dedicated Love Cruikshank gallery. The next meeting is on Feb. 3 at 7 p.m. Our program will be Merlene Stiles, field organizer for the Minnesota Environmental Partnership. We invite all community members to come and see what the Audubon Society is doing.
