A cold shooting night prevented the Lake Mills boys’ basketball team from taking a big step forward in the North Iowa Conference standings Friday as the Bulldogs (7-7, 5-3) fell 49-30 to second-place Garner-Hayfield (10-3, 7-2) in Lake Mills.
“It was just one of those night where absolutely nothing would fall,” Bulldogs head coach Kyle Menke said. “We could have been there with them if we could have put the balll in the hoop.”
The loss ended a six-game winning streak for Lake Mills.
No Lake Mills player reached double figures in the game, instead four players led the team with six points.
