Alden-Conger couldn’t find its shooting touch Friday night in Alden as the Knights fell 48-35 to Nicollet.
Alden-Conger (2-6) dropped its fourth consecutive game because of poor shooting. The Knights shot 16 percent from the field and converted just eight field goals from the floor.
“We couldn’t make a basket to save ourselves,” said Alden-Conger head coach Bill Hintz.
The Knights led 23-22 at halftime but were unable to maintain the lead in the second half as their shooting woes continued.
Travis Marth led Alden-Conger with 14 points and Lucas Kleinschrodt added 11.
Dylan Hardel and Jordan Rudenick led Nicollet with 12 points each as seven Nicollet players scored in the game.
Alden-Conger faces Martin Luther Tuesday in Northrup.
