Aaron Haggerty put the New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva wrestling team on his back Friday night in a 38-33 victory against Waseca.
Fortunately for the Panthers he also put Michael Hayes on his back 1 minute, 53 seconds into his match at 285 pounds to deliver the victory.
NRHEG trailed by 10 points entering the final three weights, but was able to pull out the victory with the efforts of David Lindell, Seth Petranek and Haggerty.
Lindell pinned Jamal McDaniel at 189 to close to within four. Petranek cut it to 33-32 with a 5-3 decision over Justin Deling at 215 and Haggerty sealed the victory with his pin.
