Albert Lea Police Lt. Jeff Strom is asking that if people see anyone lurking around cars to give police department a call. The request comes after there have been several cars broken into or damaged during the last week. At 9:03 a.m. Wednesday, a car was reported broken into on the 800 block of Minnesota Ave., according to police reports. Criminal damage was also reported to a Chevy Blazer at 5:59 a.m. today on the 2400 block of Ethel Avenue, according to reports.

Two cited for minor consumption

Police cited Adam John Haeksa, 19, and Pablo Arturo Gaytan, 20, for minor consumption after they received a noise complaint at 504 James Ave. at 10:43 p.m. Wednesday.
