Once in a while in our lives, God will bless us with a gift of true friends, but how often can we say we are blessed with seeing and living in God’s true love? Blessed with the love of two friends, two who love and breathe each other — two people who truly live as one, both right from the arms of our Lord. They unconditionally give all they have and know to each other and any others that heed them. They live by his words and love from His heart. To see them together or apart is to know what a marriage and a true friendship can and should be.

Still after all these years through it all with love in their eyes and God in their souls, Doug and Tracy Vandegrift are that couple, both examples of God’s true love, both true friends for life, both the best of the best of God’s people on Earth. Their life, their love are the true stairway to heaven. To know them is an honor, to love and be loved by them can only be explained as a true gift from God to all of us.

Today and always, Julie, William, Trinity and I honor and love them both and most of all we thank God for them both.
