A disastrous third quarter cost Lake Mills Monday night in a 61-50 loss to Newman Catholic in Mason City.

The Bulldogs (10-9, 8-5) scored three points in the third quarter and the Knights grabbed a 12 point lead entering the fourth quarter.

Lake Mills trailed by one at halftime and outscored Newman in the fourth but the third was much too costly.
