Falcons down Tigers

Faribault hit 12 3-pointers Tuesday against the Albert Lea boys’ basketball team in Faribault en route to an 87-52 win.

The Tigers endured a stretch midway through the first half where the Falcons (11-8) scored on six of seven possessions while they were held scoreless during the same span.

Albert Lea committed 24 turnovers in the game, including 16 in the first half.

Faribault finished 12 of 24 from beyond the arc.

Sean Templeman led the Tigers with 12 points and Damian Montes had 11 to lead the team.

Six Falcon players scored in double figures Tuesday. Zach Tinaglia and Seth Egge combined for 35 points.

The Tigers made just four field goals in the first half.

The Albert Lea B-squad picked up a win Tuesday, defeating Faribault 53-30. Cameron Solie led the tam with 18 and Cameron Hove added 16. Mark Krueger also recorded eight points in the win as the Tigers defeated the Falcons for the second time this season.
