Is this justice?

I just read the Feb. 19 front-page article about “Man gets 15 years probation for selling meth.” What is wrong with our justice system?
I have taught many difficult students over the last 15 years. They are taught to expect consequences for their actions; the more severe the action, the more severe the consequences. I realize there was a plea agreement, but where is the justice? How many times does someone have to commit a crime before they get serious consequences? How do the officers feel after going to so much work to catch a meth seller just to see him given a slap on the wrist? He’ll do the treatment program, but more than likely he’ll be back on the street selling drugs. In the meantime, more of our children will get hooked on meth. I’m frustrated with our justice system. Let’s put these drug dealers behind bars.
