Catherine Buboltz of 4-Seasons Vacations recently returned with a group from a tour of South Africa. The tour began in Johannesburg. The group toured the township of Soweto, where many demonstrations against apartheid took place. The group toured a church once visited by the Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu. Next, the group traveled to Kruger National Park, where they participated in two open-air safari game drives. They searched out and saw elephants, water buffaloes, lions, leopards and rhinos. They then flew to Port Elizabeth and drove the Garden Route to Knysna and eventually on to Cape Town. The group visited a local school in Knysna and hiked a local nature preserve. In Cape Town they took a ride on a cable car up to the top of Table Mountain. Some of the group even participated in a boat ride off the coast to dive with the largest population of Great White Sharks in the world.
