Michael Arthur Whiteis, 41, of Maple Grove and formerly of Coon Rapids, died Jan. 29, 2009. Memorial services were 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, Maple Grove Lutheran Church, 9251 Elm Creek Blvd. Arrangements with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home, Willmar. Memorial perfered to Courage Center Development Department, 3915 Golden Valley Road, Minneapolis 55422.
He was born on Oct. 13, 1967, in Coon Rapids, the son of George and Elaine (Farres) Whiteis. He grew up in Coon Rapids, graduating in 1986, from Coon Rapids High School.
Surviving is his wife, Stephanie; children: Sadie, Ben and Chelsea; parents, George and Elaine of St. Petersburg, Fla.; sister, Lisa (Skip) Iverson, Cambridge and Dawn Saks.
Mike’s father grew up in Albert Lea and there are still several family members in the area.
