Albert Lea Public Library children’s librarian Patti Greibrok receives a pledge of $1,000 from Fountain Lake Bookstore volunteers Jeannine Anderson and Deb Cooper. The donation will pay for support software for the 2009 children’s summer reading program. The Fountain Lake Bookstore, a project of the Albert Lea Public Library Foundation, is on the first floor of the city center. Manned by volunteers from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays, the store sells coffee and used books. All profits benefit the library.
