Tax-Aide is again available for low- and middle-income residents of the area. The emphasis of this program may be for senior citizens, but people of all ages are encouraged to make use of this service to cope with the annual tax filings.

The Tax-Aide Service is a national partnership between the AARP Foundation and the IRS to provide free tax assistance. This service files federal and state income tax returns in addition to the Minnesota property tax , rent credit returns and Recovery Rebate Credits. Services do not include tax assistance for businesses, farms or people who do not reside in Minnesota However, there is an exception for Minnesota residents who pay taxes in Iowa.

This year all returns will be electronically filed. This will result in much faster refunds to the taxpayers.
