Minnesota Transportation Commissioner Thomas Sorel will be in Albert Lea next week.

He is the featured speaker at a transportation luncheon to be at the American Legion Hall on Friday. The luncheon is being held by the Albert Lea-Freeborn County Chamber of Commerce and the Albert Lea city government.

Also featured will be District 6 Engineer Nelrae Succion. District 6 is based in Rochester and covers southeast Minnesota.

The invitation says the lunch is a soup and sandwich buffet with a cost of $10 per person. The Legion Hall is at 142 N. Broadway Ave.

The commissioner will share planned projects in and around Freeborn County and will discuss his plans for the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
