The Greenview custodian crew at the Hayward Rest Area took first in the 2008 Interstate Rest Area Excellence Award contest —the third year in a row the crew has done so. There are 35 sites designated as “Class 1” rest areas. The winner is determined by seven surprise inspections that occur throughout each calendar year.
