Four-day week gives extra time

When I read about southwestern Minnesota schools looking into a four-day week to cut down on money, energy and transportation, I thought, “What an awesome idea!” Four-day weeks wouldn’t only be good for saving, but for teachers and students also. I know it seems like we’d be asking a lot for one more day of the weekend. People just don’t understand that we get two days to do whatever we want, but in a lot of cases kids have to do homework, clean and go to family or church events; come on, let us live.
Honestly I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t be cool with adding an extra hour or so to our school day in exchange for an extra day to get things done or just chill.
