Albert Lea Mayor Mike Murtaugh was recently interviewed by the fifth-graders at Hawthorne Elementary. The students prepared questions beforehand to learn firsthand what it is like to be a mayor. “This was very educational for the students as they learned a lot about the role of mayor in Albert Lea,” said teacher Mary Jo Dorman.
