Marcelo DeJesus Garcia died Sunday, March 15, 2009, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Marcelo DeJesus Garcia was born on Jan. 4, 1944, to Armando and Carmelina Garcia in Havana, Cuba. He grew up in Havana. Marcelo came to the United States in 1980. He was employed at Pine Valley Meats, Agean Cheese Factory, Byerly’s in Lake Mills, Quality Pork, Farmland and Golden Oval. Retiring in 2007 from Golden Oval. He enjoyed carpentry, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his daughter, Kay (Benjamin Padilla) Garcia; grandchildren: Angeli and Gianni Padilla; special friend, Marie Lund; and many extended family in Cuba.
Marcelo was preceded in death by his parents.
He will be sadly missed by family and friends. May God bless his memory and may he rest in peace.
