I am writing to you to voice my thank you to our current superintendent, Dr. Dave Prescott.

I’m a sophomore at Albert Lea High School and have attended District 241 since kindergarten. Dr. Prescott has been the superintendent for all of those years. He has always worked hard and I’ve seen him in the crowd at tons of school sporting events and concerts. He has consistently supported the students of District 241. The new high school was another one of his contributions. He helped pass the referendum to pay for the new school. I’m lucky to attend such a nice school.

I’d also like to welcome the new superintendent, Mike Funk. I am looking forward to meeting him and hopefully seeing him in the crowd at school activities. In these hard times, I think we’re going to need the support more than ever. The schools are having to cut more and more. So good luck to our new superintendent and thanks to Dr. Prescott.
