Semifinal and consolation results

Cory Hansen, ranked No. 3 at 112, will wrestle in the championship Saturday at 112 pounds after his 9-5 victory over second-ranked Sam Stewart, of Andover. Hansen will face Apple Valley’s Dakota Trom, who scored a 17-2 technical fall win against Owatonna’s Dillin Schultz.

Cody Hansen, No. 3 at 125, got a major decision against Buffalo’s David Baker in his consolation quarterfinal match. He defeated Coon Rapids’ Chad Mack to move to the third place match.

Dalton Westerlund lost his match 5-3 to Kahron Nix, of Coon Rapids, he will make his way to the consolation round for a chance at third place. Westerlund defeated Buffalo’s Zach Smith to move to the third place match.

Trey Hable was knocked out of the tournament following a 4-2 decision against Brady Johnshoy, of Prior Lake.

Logan Kortan advanced to another match after a 5-1 decision against Bemidji’s Corey Huber. Kortan dropped his next match against Anoka’s Josh McLain and will wrestle for fifth place Saturday.

Ethan Reed at 215 was pinned at 1:30 against Zane Peterson to end his state tournament run.
