The Albert Lea girls’ track team traveled to St. Peter to get in some more early competition in a time trial meet Thursday at Gustavus Adolphus.

The team continued to impress Tigers’ head coach Margo Wayne with its performance.

Although no places were officially given out, the coaches kept track of the results and Albert Lea had a number of solid showings.

Chrissy Monson won the 1600-meter race while the 4×400 relay and 4×200 relay finished second.

Sarah Wenum took second in the 400, while Abby Randall took second in the 800.

Wayne said she was really proud of the effort the girls displayed.

It was the last indoor meet of the season for the Tigers.

“We’ll start getting ready for the outdoor season,” Wayne said.

The next meet for Albert Lea is April 7 in New Richland at the Panther Invite.
