More than 200 children participated in the first “Live United” coloring contest for United Way of Freeborn County. The contest ran from October to December. Many area restaurants participated in the event. Children were selected from three age groups: 3 to 5 years, 6 to 9 years and 10 to 12 years and received a “Live United” T-shirt, a free kid’s meal from participating restaurant and coloring book, along with other United Way merchandise.
