The Albert Lea K-6 youth team placed third at regions and qualified for the state tournament in Rochester.

 Albert Lea wrestled five times on March 29 in Tracy and went 4-1.

Albert Lea beat Marshall 59-12, beat St. Peter 44-21, beat Lake Crystal 50-20, but lost 49-21 to Adrian.

Albert Lea beat Windom for third place 37-31.

 

The youth team competed next at the NYWA State Team Wrestling Tournament Youth K-8 wrestled March 28 at the individual regional tournament and qualified 18 wrestlers for the NYWA State Individual Wrestling Tournament at the Rochester Civic Center.

Kanin Hable, Christian Leal, Nicolas Cantu, Caleb Miller, Zach Glazier, Noah Nelson, Jesse Hernandez, Tyler Harms, Adam Nelson, Beau Johnsrud, Devin Nelson, Jordan Nielsen, Tristan Westerlund, Dakota Wangsness, Garrett Wangsness, Tyler Trihus, Lucas Hansen, Jacob Borland all advanced to the state tournament.
