In 21 years of coaching softball Gary Nelson has seen a lot of things, but he had never seen what happened Tuesday night when his Alden-Conger team took on St. Clair in Alden.

Nikki Schultz hit for the cycle for the Knights and drove in six runs in a 4-for-4 performance at the plate.

Schultz got three of her RBI on a three-run homer.

“That home run would have been out any ball park in the state,” Nelson said. “It was just tagged.”

Alyssa Maras also had a strong night at the plate, going 3-for-4 as Alden-Conger moved to 4-7 on the year.

Kenzie Martin got the win on the mound, throwing five innings of two-hit ball.
