Americans are losing cherished freedoms

On April 15, 2009, more than 300,000 concerned citizens around our nation attended Taxed Enough Already Parties — TEA Parties. The number actually in attendance is but a mere representation of the dismay and anger at what is happening in our government. Conversations, phone calls, e-mails and the U.S. mail are carrying the message that voters and taxpayers are fed up with Congress. This included Democrats and Republicans. Our beloved nation, founded on Judeo-Christian principles, is sliding into socialism, and those who care about our country are concerned and desperate to see our Constitution and Bill of Rights upheld.
The oath is taken by the president and Congress to uphold the Constitution and Bill of Rights. I fear that most haven’t studied these documents or we would not be seeing what is happening to our freedoms.
Having our man in the White House out of the country apologizing for America? God help us! While America is not perfect, we must be stand proud and work together to bring our nation back to its founding principles.
Of course, we must remember he learned well at the feet of Bill Ayers and Rev. Jeremiah Wright. This president, in my opinion, hates the foundation on which our nation was founded.
This anger is not only directed against the Democrats, it’s also against those Republicans, who do not have the fortitude to stand against the tide of this socialistic idiom.
Please pray that men and women of character and wisdom will come forward for the 2010 election to oust those who are not following the will of the people. God bless America as we endeavor to get back to the foundation on which our nation was founded.
