The annual Freeborn County Republican Convention was held March 14 at the Senior Center in Skyline Plaza.

Ebenezer Howe Jr. was the convention convener. New officers elected were Alan Arends and Sybil Broskoff, co-chairpeople; Annie Schleck and Ken Petersen, vice co-chairpeople; Jean Eaton, secretary; Jim Munyer, treasurer.

State central delegates elected were Alan Arends and Sybil Broskoff.  Alternates to state central elected were Ken Petersen, Annie Schleck, Ebenezer Howe Jr. and Mark Rofshus.

The district convention will be held May 2 at the Ramada Inn in Rochester.  State central will meet June 13 at the Earle Brown Heritage Center in Brooklyn Center. The Minnesota Republican State Convention will be held Sept. 26. 

Retiring County Chairman C.M.(Tiny) Brandt and Annie Schleck were recognized and thanked for their past service.
