Get Moving Night is Thursday

Sibley, Hawthorne, Halverson and Lakeview Elementary Schools, along with St. Theodore Catholic School and Glenville-Emmons Elementary are hosting “Get Moving Night” at Brookside Education Center on Thursday from 6 to 7:30 pm.
Leslie Lytle will be giving a presentation on childhood obesity in the boardroom from 6 to 6:30 p.m. There will be many activity stations set up for hula hooping, basketball hoop shoots, limbo contest, tag, relays and obstacle course. Three Nintendo Wii games will be set up.
There will be information booths set up to get facts on nutrition, information on community activities to get involved in and healthy snacks. Jump ropes will be passed out to the first 100 students who attend. Kids can get their Fit Forever passports at the event and earn up to three stamps.
