The Glenville-Emmons boys’ and girls’ golf teams each picked up wins over Mabel-Canton Thursday in Mabel.
The girls’ team shot 233 while the Cougars shot 349.
April Davies earned medalist honors for the first time this season for the Wolverines with her round of 55. Brianna Nelson and Jenna Klingson each shot 56 and Reina Saltou added a 66.
“I was pretty proud of the girls,” said Glenville-Emmons head coach Craig Rayman. “That’s probably their lowest score of the year.”
The boys’ team won by forfeit as Mabel-Canton did not have enough golfers to field a full squad.
Cody Huston led the boys with a 47 as the team shot 195.
The Wolverines play Friday at River Oaks Golf Course in Austin against Lyle-Pacelli.
