The Retired Educators of Albert Lea will host the spring conference for the Southeast District of Retired Educators on Wednesday, April 22, at Riverland College in Albert Lea from 8:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. The conference will be chaired by local retired educator, Ed Mikulich.  

Featured speakers will be Joel Spoonheim of the Blue Zones Vitality Project; Amy Pleimling, registered dietitian; and Al Batt. Musical entertainment will be provided by Glen Parsons and Barb Lang. The 2009 Southeast District of Retired Educators Retired Educator Award will be presented. Newly elected officers will be inducted by Joyce Sukola, Retired Educators of Minnesota past president of St. Cloud. 

Those wishing to register may call Elaine Nelson, 373-4632. The cost is $12.50, which includes a buffet lunch, coffee and rolls and door prizes if registration is made prior to April 20. Registration at the door is $15.
