Schaeffer Academy delivered another frustrating loss to the Glenville-Emmons baseball team Thursday with a 6-4 victory in Rochester.
The Lions handed the Wolverines their only conference loss back on April 13 and they did it again Thursday.
Tyler Woodside pitched well enough to win, going six innings and allowing three earned runs on five hits. Woodside also struck out 12 hitters and walked just three.
But a few fielding mistakes cost Glenville-Emmons (5-6, 5-2 SEC) a chance at victory.
Schaeffer Academy’s first three runs were unearned as the Lions scored two on a fielding error at shortstop in the third inning which tied the game at 3.
In the fifth Schaeffer Academy scored three runs to take the lead.
The loss put the Wolverines in second place in the conference behind Houston.
