I would like to extend a very big thank you to Ed Shannon for creating and maintaining his “Lifestyles” column reflecting interesting stories of the past involving Albert Lea’s history.

So many of the articles he features brings back fond memories of my growing up years in Albert Lea.

For years now I have saved these important bits of life as it was here and thanks to Ed will have these memories to cherish for many years to come.
