Steve Piper II gave one aspect of your thumbs down on the pirate story in Sunday‘s paper. It was an excellent point of your lack of knowledge of the world.

From the human side of the story, why don’t you realize that people, especially young people, need real heroes to look up to. You don’t think that a captain offering himself to save his crew isn’t newsworthy?

And our Armed Forces being capable of protecting a U.S. citizen is wonderful too. It’s a glimmer of hope in this uncertain world. God still answers prayers!
