North Dakota State basketball standout Ben Woodside is in Virginia playing in the Portsmouth Invitational, where he hopes to grab the attention of NBA scouts.

Woodside is one of 64 college seniors playing games Wednesday through Saturday. The event will be attended by scouts from the 30 NBA teams and numerous professional teams overseas.

The 5-foot-11 point guard from Albert Lea is NDSU’s all-time leading scorer. He says the Portsmouth Invitational is another step toward his dream of playing in the NBA.
