LoEtta Seltun, 69, Bricelyn

LoEtta Jane Seltun, age 69, of Bricelyn, died Friday, May 29, 2009, at United Hospital in Blue Earth. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bricelyn Lutheran Church in Bricelyn. The Rev. Ed Nieman will officiate. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Bricelyn Lutheran Church and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Bricelyn Lutheran Cemetery, Seely Township, Faribault County.
LoEtta J. Seltun was born Sept. 4, 1939, the daughter of Archie and Alma (Amble) Gullord in Rake, Iowa. On Dec. 21, 1957, she was united in marriage to Jerry O. Seltun at Zion Lutheran Church in Rake. LoEtta enjoyed gardening, sewing, baking and cooking. LoEtta enjoyed spending time with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed care giving, first with her parents, and in the past few years, enjoyed time spent visiting friends at the nursing homes. She loved animals, especially her dog, Mary, and bird watching. LoEtta was a member of Bricelyn Lutheran Church, WELCA, and was an active member of the Bricelyn Senior Citizens.
She is survived by a son: Michael (Linda) of Albert Lea; five daughters: Roxann (Larry) Kluender of Walters, Jodell (Greg) Thompson of Bricelyn, Dawn (Scott) Langfald of Rake, Susan (Jeff) Beyer of Stewartville and Jean (Brandon) Hagenson of Kiester; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; five brothers: Carroll (wife Fritz) Gullord of Rake, Duane Gullord of Apache Junction, Ariz., Gordon Gullord of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Truman (wife Marva) Gullord of Albert Lea and Vernal (wife Judy) Gullord of Arveda, Colo.; one sister: Sandra Walter of Aveda, Colo.; brother-in-law: Dale Seltun of Rochester; two sisters-in-law: Alpha Kingstrom of Bricelyn and Sharon Hunt of Bradenton, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry, in 2003; and one brother, Vern.
