Michael Owens has joined the staff of Bergdale Harley-Davidson in Albert Lea as a certified master technician.
A passion for mechanics led Owens to pursue a degree in automotive engineering, technology and collision from South Central College in Mankato. After a few years working in the trucking industry, Owens decided to go on to pursue a career in Harley-Davidson mechanics, receiving his motorcycle technician training in Phoenix at the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute with Harley-Davidson electives.
Owens is joining Bergdale’s team from Harley-Davidson Sport Center in Duluth, where he received his official master certification from Harley-Davidson University. The certification required him to take various online courses and attend upwards of 10 in-the-classroom courses put on by Harley-Davidson University.
Owens is dedicated to customer satisfaction, and loves figuring out the solution to a problem. One of his favorite things about his job is helping Harley-Davidson owners accessorize their bikes.
Owens is the second Harley-Davidson master technician at the dealership working alongside fellow master technician, Dustin Rafdal, who has been with Bergdale’s for 11 years.
