Hiram Abel Rodriguez Reyes, 23, no address listed, has been identified by the Albert Lea Police Department as the driver of the vehicle involved in a high-speed chase through Albert Lea early Sunday morning, which abruptly ended in a collision with a utility pole at the corner of South Madison Avenue and West Seventh Street.

Reyes reportedly left the vehicle and attempted to flee, but was arrested by officers a short distance away. This collision resulted in an electrical power outage in a portion of the city until about noon.
