Three Glenville-Emmons golfers competed at the Section 1A meet Thursday at The Bridges Golf Course in Winona, but none advanced to the state meet.

Cody Huston, Brianna Nelson and Jenna Klingson all reached the section meet following Tuesday’s subsection meet at The Legacy in Faribault.

“To get to that level, all three did very well,” said Wolverines head coach Craig Rayman. “To move on to the section is really great for them.”

Huston shot 95 to qualify for the section meet and shot 100 Thursday to miss the cut to move on to the state meet.

Klingson, a sophomore competing in her first varsity season, advanced to the section meet following a 116 Tuesday. At Winona she shot 126 and did not move on.

Brianna Nelson shot 108 at the subsection meet and 118 at the section meet.

The Wolverine boys’ team shot 403 at the subsection meet for sixth place while the girls shot 493 to place fifth.
