The 10U Knights captured second place at the Gopher State Spring Training Series tournament at Fridley last weekend.

The Knights beat Mahtomedi by a score of 14-4 and White Bear Lake 13-1 last Saturday with both games being decided after four innings by the 10-run rule.

The Knights completed pool play by beating the Andover 11U team by a score of 8-4.

The Knights took the No. 1 seed into the championship game but were defeated by New Richmond 7-4.

The 10U Knights were awarded a berth to the 2009 Gopher State Tournament of Champions on July 10-12 in Brooklyn Park.

The Knights season record now stands at 8-3.

The next set of games for the Knights is set for the weekend of May 29-31 at Lakeville.
