Wisconsin chorus to perform

Concordia Lutheran Church of Pickerel Lake will host the Menomonie High School Concert Chorus from Menomonie, Wis., at 7 p.m. Friday. 

This group is touring through South Dakota and southern Minnesota.  The Menomonie Concert Chorus is comprised of students who have displayed a high level of dedication, initiative and leadership, and possess a positive attitude and solid understanding of the use of voice as a musical instrument. They are pursuing music of the highest level of difficulty with a focus on choral unity and musicality.

The concert will feature a variety of sacred and secular works in various styles. Audric Buhr, conductor of the chorus, is the son of  the Rev. Roger Buhr, pastor at Concordia Lutheran Church from 1974 to 1989.

Refreshments will be served in the church basement following the concert.

Concordia Lutheran Church is located at 69271 190th St. in rural Albert Lea. The church building is wheel chair accessible.
